We’re celebrating our colleague, Molly Matheson Gruen, as she transitions from her role as program operations director at the Bush Foundation on March 17, 2023.
Molly joined the Foundation in 2011, and the depth and breadth of her impact across the organization has been immeasurable. In her role, she’s led the strategic direction of our grantmaking practices to help improve the experience of our applicants, grantees and partners. Throughout her work, Molly has been instrumental in the Foundation’s push to be more equitable, more open and more responsive to community.
“Molly has been a huge part of the work of the Bush Foundation in her 12 years – from helping to create programs like Community Innovation grants and the Bush Prize to pushing us to be better in all the ways we operate,” says Jen Ford Reedy, president.
Reedy adds: “We are delighted that Molly is going to continue working with us in a part-time consulting role so we will continue to benefit from her talent and experience.”
Echoing that sentiment, Chris Romano, chief operating officer, says, “Molly’s influence and impact are evident across so many parts of the Foundation. Her leadership, commitment and thoughtfulness have shaped who we are today. She has been a remarkable thought-partner and influencer, fostering a culture of trust, learning and growth.”
It is a bittersweet moment as we thank Molly for her commitment to our mission and acknowledge our excitement for the great work she’ll embark upon in this new chapter.
