Tony LookingElk

Tony is a grantmaking director for the Bush Foundation. He provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Community Innovation program.

As part of the grantmaking team, Tony helps find and select the highest potential ideas from communities throughout the region that can lead to high-impact investments for Bush. He is active in community conversations to understand the impact of Bush’s support and serves as a member of Bush’s management team.

Tony joined Bush in 2021. He brings previous philanthropic experience and has served communities in Native, rural and metropolitan areas. Tony also has worked with national, regional and local communities to help them grow their voice and identity to shape community solutions.

Tony credits his culture and family for instilling within him the values, belief system and worldview to help shape effective practices and honor community self-determination.
