Tammy Nolen
Communications officer
Tammy is the communications officer for the Bush Foundation. She provides leadership on a range of communications activities that help inspire and promote the great ideas and people creating change in Bush’s grantmaking region.
Tammy works across the organization to identify the stories and content that promote the opportunities offered by Bush partners and grantees, and the people and organizations who are problem-solving in their communities. She also provides communications leadership for Bush’s main grantmaking programs and works with the community grant partners who operate Bush programs. Tammy also supports Bush staff and the communications team with general communications needs.
Tammy joined Bush in 2022. She has extensive experience with Twin Cities nonprofits and has served as the communications manager for a national coalition working to end corporate control of the food system and led communications and events for the Center for Economic Inclusion.
Tammy has a strong commitment to working with mission-driven organizations. She is most interested in amplifying stories that advocate for community-centered solutions rooted in racial and economic justice.
Tammy is a Minnesota native who enjoys the state’s short Autumn season, dark chocolate and watching British mysteries.
