Sophie Forest

Investment officer

Sophie is an investment officer for the Bush Foundation. She provides investment analysis that helps ensure that Bush’s resources are invested and used in ways that meet the highest standards of stewardship and impact.

Sophie’s work includes portfolio structure and management and investment manager due diligence and monitoring. She also works closely with the finance team.

Sophie joined Bush in 2023. She has extensive experience and has served as assistant director of investments at Upstart Co-Lab, where she helped connect impact investing to the vibrant creative economy, and worked as an investment associate at Cambridge Associates as a member of the sustainable and impact investing team. She’s also held roles at high-net-worth wealth management firms and with an impact-focused nonprofit.

Sophie has a passion for impact investing—helping investors connect their mission and values to their investments.

Sophie is a Canadian who grew up and spent most of her adult life in New England. Since moving to Minnesota, she keeps busy exploring everything the Twin Cities has to offer—oftentimes with her dog—and is an avid podcast listener.
