Malcom Chapman

Grantmaking officer

Malcom (Chap) Chapman is a grantmaking officer for the Bush Foundation and is based in Rapid City, South Dakota. He focuses on South Dakota and works across all Bush programs to help find and select the highest potential ideas from communities throughout the region that can lead to high-impact investments for Bush. He manages a portfolio of grants and is active in community conversations to understand the impact of Bush’s support.

Malcom is part of the grantmaking team and is ready to talk with people who have ideas or questions about any Bush programs or other opportunities Bush supports.

Malcom joined Bush in 2022 and is a 2015 Bush Fellow. He has extensive experience that spans many roles and fields, including public and private sector positions and service in the military as a Marine Corps Officer. He also is founder and owner of the Chapman Group, which provides an array of consulting services. He also is an experienced national public speaker, facilitator and convener.

Chap is excited to be a partner on a team that through the selection of grantees and fellows looks for new ideas and people that might impact the region in a BIG way
