Kia Vang
Executive assistant to the president and board of directors
Kia is the executive assistant to the president and board of directors for the Bush Foundation. She helps advance the goals of Bush by providing support, coordination and expertise in a wide range of areas so that the board and staff have the resources, information and help they need to do their best work.
Kia keeps the executive office running smoothly so that the president can effectively lead the organization. She is a connector between the board, president and staff, and plays a key role in ensuring everyone has what they need for board meetings and retreats.
Kia joined Bush in 2014 and served as the leadership development coordinator before moving into her current role. She has extensive experience in operations management and supporting the executive team of a healthcare consulting company based in California. She also worked at the intersection of nonprofit and education managing law and conflict resolution programs for schools in the Sacramento County area.
She and her husband have 3 girls and a boy who keep her life pretty full. In her spare time, she likes to listen to audio books, gather with friends at a new restaurant or play pickleball and karaoke with her family. She is inspired every day by the humans that surround her, both at home and at work.
