I’m energized in my work by finding more inclusive, thoughtful ways to recruit and develop talent. I’m a hardcore listener and enjoy the synergy of balancing history/past with change/new ideas.

Joni is the talent & HR manager for the Bush Foundation. She provides leadership for practices and processes that ensure a diverse workforce and productive organizational culture.

Joni manages hiring, selection and onboarding work, develops and interprets people-related policies and provides support, coaching and guidance to staff and supervisors.

Joni joined Bush in 2023. She has a mix of experiences working in the public sector including USDA Rural Development, APHIS, Army Corps of Engineers and VA. She also served as the HR generalist and comp and benefits manager at McKnight Foundation for 7 years.

  • Bachelor’s degree from St. Catherine University
  • Master’s degree in public and nonprofit administration from Metro State University
