Farhiya Abdulkarim

Grantmaking coordinator

Farhiya is a grantmaking coordinator for the Bush Foundation. She is the administrative and operational lead for the grantmaking team and provides support for the Bush Fellowship and Ecosystem programs, and the community grant partners.

Farhiya joined Bush in 2021. She has extensive experience in program management, grant management and racial equity work. She also led and supported racial equity work at Concordia College and Macalester College. She is excited to have a job that that combines her knack for people and processes to ensure supportive and equitable experiences for those engaging with grantmaking.

Farhiya enjoys reading and exploring art museums with her young daughter.
