Expansion and replication of Collaboratives for Change that enhance the vitality of towns and promote the well-being of participants of all ages
Conduct up to four sessions in South Dakota communities where participants will learn about South Dakota data, increase their connections to other citizens, generate ideas to address tough problems, and influence decisions in their state and communities [PW approved change from five sessions to four sessions--12/14/10]
Develop a unified and responsive Black Hills Mental Health/Substance Abuse System that is sustainable, promotes prevention, encourages service collaboration and information sharing among state and local agencies, and is replicable in its application to address other community concerns. Bush funding will be used to complete a region-wide needs assessment, comprehensive plan, community engagement, leadership training, and impact and replication design including a public policy plan, which is a prerequisite to seeking grant funding from other sources for plan implementation
