AMPERS is an association of 17 independent grassroots hyperlocal radio stations that primarily serve underserved populations, including tribal nations, diverse communities, and students, with 13 of the 17 stations serving communities in greater Minnesota. Collectively, AMPERS provides programming in 11 different languages including Hmong, Somali, Oromo, Ojibwe, Spanish, and more. Through a media partnership, we are able to reach people throughout Minnesota to make them aware of our program offerings and resources throughout the year.
Ampers is an association of 18 independent grassroots hyperlocal radio stations that primarily serve underserved communities, including BIPOC and rural communities, with 14 of the 18 stations serving communities in greater Minnesota. Four of the stations are licensed to and serve Native American communities. KMOJ is the only radio station in Minnesota whose sole mission is to serve communities of color. Collectively, Ampers provides programming in 11 different languages including Hmong, Somali, Oromo, Ojibwe, Spanish, and more. Through a media sponsorship, we are able to reach people throughout Minnesota to make them aware of our program offerings and resources throughout the year.
2023 Media Sponsorship to support Ampers, a unique association of 18 independent community radio stations across the state of Minnesota. Each station is independently managed and programmed by the local communities they serve with an emphasis on Black, Indigenous and communities of color.
This sponsorship provides support for Ampers to help its 18 independent member stations serve their diverse communities by developing and sharing programming, and through accurate storytelling and reporting.
