Our good friend and wonderful colleague, Beth Villaume, is turning the page on her time at Bush and opening a new chapter for herself and her family. We are SO excited for Beth! She's been with us since 2008 — and while that sounds like a long time, it's also whizzed right by. That's what happens when you have a colleague like Beth who makes the work as much fun as it is meaningful!
Foundation president Jen Ford Reedy has this to say about Beth:
"Beth has brought more humor and more passion to the role of controller than any of you can probably imagine — unless you were fortunate enough to work with her! She has cared about everything and everyone at the Bush Foundation in her time working here, taking the mission and the values of Bush so seriously — even as she operates with great joy. She has served the Bush Foundation so, so well."
Throughout her time with us, Beth has been a clear and consistent voice for careful stewardship of the Foundation’s funds – and developing processes that are consistently excellent and inclusive. This shows up in everything from her leadership on open enrollment for employees each year to creating a budgeting process that is transparent, strategic and meaningful.
Beth will be with us through the end of this year. We'll be cherishing every moment until then!
Congratulations, Beth!
