My knowledge of Asian cultures, especially East Asia and South Asia, was gained by exploring further some questions, i.e., “What are Asians?”, “What countries are in Asia?” “Microaggression or Oppression impact in what ways,” and find correct words to make invisible voices visible through proper language delivery with clarity of the intricacy of Asian + Deaf cultures and heritages to the majority and minorities. I created leadership by providing a clean and organized language structure and image collage to shift framing from the power of media in the majority and finding the proper language usage from error to correct by creating a bridge of insights, perspectives, emotions, mindset, and openness in a conversation without the word “but” in the sentence. I had a presentation webinar about Deaf Asian American Microaggression, and to my surprise, my work was more significant than expected. My work has emerged in conversation recently, and I was asked to present at a few events. My job is budding.

My work has brought more Deaf Asians living in Minnesota; I have created a large space to bring several clusters into a sharing space. Through proper sign language usage, I recognize that the Deaf Asians shine and ignite their passion for establishing a Deaf Asian American organization in Minnesota. Trust and embracing each ethnic group are essential ties to different parts of Asia. Equity and Inclusion shorten not only the nationality but also the ethnicity gap. The White in the Deaf community shows eagerness to see the organization come to fruition. This is a first step of many steps to come.

I continue pursuing my dream of making a Deaf Asian American Anthology in ASL video and the print English version. But, first, I must focus self-care on recovering tendon and nerve radial injury in my arm due to lacking physical rest. Leadership brought me excitement, but I must remember that leadership does not run me and that I must be aware of my plate.

I look forward to continuing the work, achieving my goals, and seizing my dream.
