The Fellowship has provided me with the invaluable opportunity to transition between the vibrant “dance floor” of action and the serene “balcony” of reflection. This balance has allowed me to escape the cycle of survival mode and embrace a more introspective approach to leadership. Through this journey, I’ve realized the importance of leading from a place of healing rather than reactivity, particularly in my mission to combat sexual violence. Drawing from my own experiences as a survivor, I’ve gained profound insights that are reshaping my approach to leadership both locally and globally. By prioritizing joy and collaboration in project selection and fostering a culture of rest and flexibility within my organization, we’re creating spaces for healing and growth for both our team and our clients.
