As Talent, Learning, and Evaluation Coordinator, Kim supports the operational and administrative pieces of the Bush Foundation’s talent, HR, and professional development activities. What energizes her most about her work is her role in fostering an effective and equitable organizational culture. She loves that her work is rooted in relationship-building. She joined the Foundation in 2023.
Before she came to the Bush Foundation, Kim was the Finance and Operations Manager at the East Side Freedom Library. There she created and formalized various structures and processes with the intention of sustaining and supporting staff and organizational growth. She received her master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Leadership at the University of Minnesota where she learned a lot about nonprofit management in the arts and culture sector.
She is an advocate for the arts, believing that creativity is central to creating and framing change.
She believes that we bring our whole selves into the spaces we engage in and that full presence only helps enhance our ability to impact the work we do and the people we work with.
In her free time, Kim enjoys finding new places to eat, learning new crafting skills, and spending time with her friends and family. Her guilty pleasures are mugs, water bottles, and stationery.
