Juxtaposition Arts Case Study
Through a partnership with Pollen Midwest, we created a case study to learn how Juxtaposition Arts is developing a creative pipeline of, and for the community.
Excerpt from The Case Study
Juxtaposition Arts (JXTA) is an education program, teen-staffed design enterprise and locally-rooted cultural development center founded in 1995. JXTA works with residents and stakeholders towards a vision of improved access to educational, economic and decision-making opportunities that create healthy, beautiful and safe physical environments, with a focus on North Minneapolis.
Developing Authentic Partnerships
"Time develops trust on both sides, and you are able to know each other in a real way. By actually liking your partner, you can do so much more."
-DeAnna Cummings, Juxtaposition Arts.
Doing the Work
"First of all, we just started doing the work. That is a part of the culture of JXTA. We didn't wait for somebody to tell us it was okay to do it or even to get a grant to do it. We just started doing the work."
-DeAnna Cummings, Juxtaposition Arts
