Justin is a Learning and Evaluation Manager who develops and implements strategies for using data and other information to understand the Foundation’s impact and to drive continuous improvement. To this role he brings his passion for building transparency, accountability and trust between funders and community. Justin started at the Foundation in 2010 and served as a Grantmaking Officer who developed and supported a variety of Community Innovation Grants and Strategic Initiatives focused on education, community creativity and other issues.
Before joining the Foundation, Justin held multiple roles at the University of Minnesota that fed his passion for using the arts and creativity to foster connections across difference. Currently he is board chair of Minnesota Jazz Education, where he co-created a youth education program that explores the connections between jazz, hip-hop and other music genres. Justin loves going on new travel adventures with his family and enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, fixing stuff and tinkering on his bass guitar.
