Hovland, MN — Native Nations Rebuilders Program (cohort 6) - Bill is a former tribal council member for his nation, serving from 2008 to 2012. He currently serves on the Grant Portage elder’s council and veterans memorial program. He is a retired federal treaty conversation officer, a post he held for more than 17 years. Bill was also a police officer for the Rice Lake Police Department for over 16 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University and masters of tribal administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
