Minneapolis, MN — Civic engagement is the key to improving the quality of services and life in my Laotian American community, yet we have not participated as fully as possible. Through the fellowship, I will search for the root causes of this disengagement, learn from others and find ways to motivate my community to engage and connect with local government in a meaningful and civic way, making it a better place for all.
