Roseville, MN — Native Nations Rebuilders Program (cohort 5) - Laurie grew up on the Leech Lake Reservation, graduating from Cass Lake-Bena High School. After high school and after starting her family, she went on to graduate from Leech Lake Tribal College and Native American Educational Services College in Chicago. She currently works as the outreach coordinator for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, where she provides educational and training services to clients of the Band’s Department of Labor. Laurie is the proud mother of four sons, ages 23, 21, 17 and 7.
