Belcourt, ND — Native Nations Rebuilders Program (cohort 6) - Laurie is a retired air traffic control specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration. She also taught air traffic control in Norway for the University of North Dakota’s International Program. Even though she is retired from work, she remains very involved in her community. Laurie is currently working on proposed amendments to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa’s tribal constitution. She also serves on the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa powwow committee. Laurie is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a major in Indian studies and air traffic control. Her parents are Joseph E. and Theresa M. (Resa) Davis of Belcourt, North Dakota.
