Eagan, MN — Many youth of color are being swept into the school-to-prison pipeline. They face several barriers to success as they are released from the correctional system and attempt to reintegrate into society; those barriers often lead to high rates of recidivism. With my fellowship, I hope to break this cycle by working with all stakeholders, including incarcerated youth, to create awareness of these issues and create opportunities to break down these barriers.
