Morton, MN — My rural community (of European, Dakota, Hispanic and Philippine descent) has lost the leadership present only a few generations ago, and as a result, the non-agricultural sectors of the local economy are failing. Capable young people (ages 18 to 25) leave home and do not return. I will work with my community to develop leaders from all sectors who can inspire residents to overcome social, economic, cultural and racial issues to build a community full of energy and opportunity.
