Pine Ridge, SD — Native Nations Rebuilders Program (cohort 6) - Anna is a graduate of Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, and received her bachelor’s degree from Oglala Lakota College. At age 23, Anna ran and won a seat on the Oglala Lakota County Commission, making her the youngest Native American woman in history to hold the office. In 2014, she ran for the South Dakota House of Representatives. Anna is one of the founders of the Native Youth Leadership Alliance, a nonprofit organization that invests in young Native American leaders to spark culturally based community change.
