As Grantmaking Coordinator, Farhiya works to ensure that processes and practices are in place so the grantmaking team can make the biggest impact in the communities that the Foundation serves. She is ready to connect people to the grantmaking team and answer questions on our cross-foundational work. Farhiya is excited to have a job that that combines her knack for people and processes to ensure supportive and equitable experiences for those engaging with grantmaking.
Farhiya joined the Bush Foundation in 2021, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in program management, grant management and racial equity work. Prior to joining the Foundation, she led and supported racial equity work at Concordia College and Macalester College.
She is an alumnus of the inaugural 2019 Minnesota Young American Leaders Program (MYALP) and a former steering committee member of the Fargo – Moorhead Chamber of Commerce Professionals of Color program.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and exploring art museums with her young daughter.
