Community Innovation questions for grantees
When you become a Community Innovation grantee, we look for ways to continue to support you as the work progresses. We understand that it’s often a journey, and we’re interested in learning what you’re learning.
Here are some of the questions you can expect when we schedule a check-in call with your organization.
What should we know about the work and how it’s going?
- What stands out as one essential milestone that has happened in the work so far (e.g., “if X hadn’t happened, we wouldn’t have been able to do Z”)?
- What are 2-3 significant successes and/or barriers to the work?
- What has shifted along the way and why did that need to happen?
- Has our investment helped attract other investments?
- Are there other ways we can support your problem solving efforts at this time?
We might ask additional questions specific to your grant and the work, depending on the conversation. We’re curious to hear your reflections and to support you in your problem solving efforts.

We periodically publish the reflections share by other CI grantees in our learning logs.
