Singer, songwriter, photographer and writer Jessie Veeder blends music, words and photography to tell heartfelt stories about Western North Dakota. She and her husband, Chad, work alongside her father as the fourth generation stewards of the Veeder Ranch, and she blogs about that life in her internationally popular blog "Meanwhile, back at the ranch…" Jessie also writes a weekly column that appears in Forum newspapers across North Dakota. In 2012, she released her fourth album, "Nothing's Forever," which features the acclaimed song "Boomtown," a folk ballad about life in the Bakken that has been featured on area news programs, national and international documentaries. Jessie has a degree in communication and public relations from the University of North Dakota, has been a professional fundraiser for the University of Montana-Missoula and Dickinson State University, and owns a small communication business.
